IU South Bend women's volleyball head coach Jamie Ashmore-Pott announced on Tuesday the addition of Melissa Macellari as a member of the varsity program.  Macellari, a native of Granger, IN., will continue her academic and athletic career beginning in the fall of 2012.  She will pursue a degree in Education from IU South Bend.  Macellari played last season at Southeast Missouri State University.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have a scholar-athlete like Melissa join our program," Ashmore-Pott said. "She is an outstanding talent on and off the court and will make an immediate impact.  She is a leader and we have high expectations for Melissa and I am confident that she will deliver."

IU South Bend wrapped up the 2011-12 inaugural campaign with an overall record of 15-9 and will compete in the CCAC conference during 2012-13 school year.  The Titans will open up the 2012 campaign on August 22nd with a match against Davenport University.  The match is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Student Activities Center on the campus of IU South Bend.
