INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In its first tournament of the spring the Indiana University South Bend men's golf team earned one of its best finishes of the season finishing fifth out of 11 teams at the Broadmoor Invite hosted by Marian University at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.
IU South Bend shot a 63-over 631 in very tough weather conditions to finish in fifth place after both rounds on Monday and Tuesday.
Brayden Glaser paced the Titans firing a two-round 154 (77, 77) to finish 12-over par and tied for 12th. Ryan Rapp was 14-over shooting an 81 on day one and a 75 on day for a two-round score of 156 and tied for 17th.
Three other Titan golfers finished in the top 50 led by Adam Kanczuzewski who was tied for 22nd with a two day total of 157. Nick Anglemeyer posted a 164 which was good for a 36th place finish while Broc Maurer turned in a 173 and a 46th place finish.
The Titans will return to the links on April 15-16 as they take part in the Pilot Invitational hosted by Bethel College at Blackthorn Golf Club.
