Dearborn, MI- The IU South Bend men's basketball team defeated UM Dearborn 76-71 on Tuesday night in non-conference action.  With the victory the Titans improved to 6-15 overall on the season while the Wolves dropped to 3-16.

The Titans trailed by as many as nine points with six minutes left in the contest to earn the victory.  Ben Werner turned in another solid performance scoring 24 points and pulling down 14 rebounds to register a double-double on the evening.   Werner connected on 12-of-17 shots and dished out a team-high three assists.  Terry Hill provided some much needed spark off the bench as he tallied 13 points while teammate Dylan Morris chipped in with 11.

Rodney Wilson led UM Dearborn with 15 points and dished out six assists in 34 minutes of action.  However, it was Kyle Heatherly and Mark Comparato coming up with clutch 3-point field goals down the stretch to secure the win for the Titans.

IU South Bend will return to conference play on Saturday as they travel to St. Xavier University.  Tip time is scheduled for 3:00 CST.
