SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Mike Huling has been hired as the new head baseball coach at Indiana University South Bend. Huling was promoted after serving as the head assistant coach last year during IU South Bend's inaugural season of play in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CACC).
In addition to his coaching experience at IU South Bend, Huling served as an assistant coach at Holy Cross College and was an assistant coach for two years at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). At BGSU he mentored four All-Mid-American Conference players and was part of the 2013 MAC Tournament Championship team.
Huling is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where he played baseball for two seasons. In 2010, his team at USI won the NCAA Division II National Championship.
Huling replaces Brian Blondell. Last season the Titans compiled an overall record of 21-30 and were 13-17 in the conference.
