WHITING, Ind. – Five players scored in double-figures as the Indiana University South Bend men's basketball team fell 92-84 at Calumet College of St. Joseph on Tuesday night. Avery Harmon (SR/ Broadview, Illinois) scored a game-high 22 points for the Titans.
Early on the Titans trailed CCSJ by four points but Matt Bullinger (JR/Jackson, Michigan) sparked a 25-3 run that put IU South Bend in front 27-9 with 11:05 left in the first half.
IU South Bend maintained a 19-point lead with 2:50 remaining in the half until the Crimson Wave scored the final eight points of the half to cut the Titan lead to 11 points at the break.
The Crimson Wave continued to close the gap during the second half getting within one on multiple occasions. It was at the 4:23 mark the Crimson Wave were able to take the lead 79-78, a lead they would never relinquish.
The loss drops the Titans to 10-6 overall on the year and 4-3 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
IU South Bend will host Olivet Nazarene University on Thursday night at the Student Activities Center. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
