SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Taylor Wesley (FR/South Bend, Indiana) netted a career-high 21 points on Thursday night as the Indiana University South Bend women's basketball team fell 118-81 to Olivet Nazarene University. The Titans missed a lot of easy scoring opportunities but still managed to shoot 42 percent from the field in the loss.
Loren Vukovits (SO/ North Liberty, Indiana) came off the bench and added 18 points to go along with six rebounds. Lucy Presnal notched her first double-double of the year with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
IU South Bend was behind 11 points after 10 minutes of action. In the second quarter the Titans hung with the Tigers' high-octane offense as ONU outscored IU South Bend by just three points, 24-21 to take a 55-41 lead into the break.
With just nine active players, the Titans ran out of gas in the second as they were outscored 32-19 in the third and 31-21 in the final frame.
IU South Bend won the battle of the paint outscoring the Tigers 52-38 in that category.
The Titans will travel to Judson University on Saturday to continue Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference action. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
