Entering Thursday night's contest at North Newton, IU South Bend signee Brandee Hudspeth sat just 11 points shy of making history. It took until the fourth quarter of the contest, but when she tallied point number eleven, Hudspeth became the all-time leading scorer at Kankakee Valley High School.

She finished the game with 16 points, giving her 1,116 for her Kougar career, which at this point puts her five in front of the previous record holder, Melissa Schoonveld.

She also holds school recods for free throws made and attempted, three pointers made and most 20-point games.

Hudspeth and the Kougars have two remaining regular season games, hosting Griffth - and another future Titan Lauren Hansen - on January 30 and Hanover Central on February 2 before entering sectional play.

When she arrives at IU South Bend, Hudspeth will study business.
