PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Loren Vukovits (SO/ North Liberty, Indiana) matched her career-high with 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds as the Indiana University South Bend women's basketball team fell 65-55 at Trinity Christian College. The Trolls forced the Titans into a season-high 34 turnover in the loss.
IU South Bend trailed by 12 points at the end of the third frame and went on a 19-0 run that lasted nearly seven minutes to give the Titans a 37-30 advantage with 3:25 to play in the quarter. It was then the Trolls turn for a big run as they finished the quarter on a 17-2 run to take an eight point lead into the final 10 minutes.
Brianna Blackwell (JR/Whiting, Indiana) drained a pair of free throws at the 7:02 mark to bring the Titans within one point of the TCC lead but the Titan would not get any closer than that as they dropped their 16th game of the season.
Paige Avery (JR/Mishawaka, Indiana) added 16 points.
The Titans will continue regular season action on Saturday as they welcome Purdue Northwest to the Student Activities Center. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET and will stream live on https://portal.stretchinternet.com/rrsn/.
