PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Freshman Alex Harmon (FR/Wabash, Indiana) posted career-highs with 13 points and six rebounds as the Indiana University South Bend men's basketball team fell 85-63 to Trinity Christian College on Wednesday night in Palos Heights, Illinois.
Not a whole lot went the Titans way in the first 20 minutes of action. The top-ranked three point shooting team in the country had a rough first half, converting on just one of 19 attempts. Freshman Alex Harmon had the lone triple and was 3-of-3 from the field for seven points.
As a team the Titans shot just 21 percent from the field in the opening frame while the host Trolls shot 50 percent to take a 47-23 lead into the intermission.
It was all the same in the second half as the Titans could not get anything going on the offensive end or get any stops on the defensive end. The Titans shooting woes continued in the second half as they hit just four of 12 attempts from long distance to finish the game 5-of-31.
Trinity Christian finished the night shooting 49 percent from the field and out-rebounding the Titans 45-32.
The Titans had difficulty defending the rim as the Trolls scored 50 of their 85 points from the paint while IU South Bend scored 24 inside.
The Titans will continue regular season action on Saturday as they welcome Purdue Northwest to the Student Activities Center. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m. ET and will stream live on https://portal.stretchinternet.com/rrsn/.
