South Bend, IN- The IU South Bend men's basketball team lost to the University of St. Francis 75-69 at the Student Activities Center on the campus of IU South Bend.  With the loss, the Titans drop their second straight contest and fall to 6-17 overall and 2-3 in the CCAC.

The Titans had an eight point lead at the 7:40 mark in the second half and the Fighting Saints fought their way back into the contest on clutch shooting from behind the arc.  USF drilled 6-of-15 shots from 3-point land and connected on 15-19 free throw attemtps.  The Fighting Saints controlled the glass outrebounding the Titans 34-24.  From the field, IU South Bend had one of their better shooting performances connecting on 23-44 attempts, but struggled from the charity stripe hitting on just 14-of-23 attempts. 
  
The Titans had five players score in double figures on the afternoon led by Mark Comparato.  MC had the hot hand on the afternoon for IU South Bend as he finished with a team-high 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting from 3-point land and 1-of-2 from the charity stripe.  Ben Werner registered a double-double pouring in 14 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for the Titans.  Ten of Werner's points were earned from the free throw line.  Kyle Heatherly and Quinn Brooks each chipped in with 12 points apiece.  Heatherly continues to log quality minutes and contribute as an offensive weapon.

Andrew Fair paced St. Francis with a game-high 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field.  Greg Leavell was a force in the middle and registered a double-double as he pumped in 21 points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds.

IU South Bend returns to action on Tuesday, February 2 when they will host the Tigers of Olivet Nazarene on what will be Pink Zone night. Both teams will be wearing pink as part of their uniforms and pre-game attire for the contest, and all proceeds generated through ticket sales or donations will be given to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. Tip-off is set for 8:00 PM.
