Mishawaka, IN- The IU South Bend men's basketball team dropped their fourth straight contest losing to Bethel College (Ranked #8, Division II) by the score of 83-67 on Thursday night at the Wiekamp Center on the campus of Bethel College.  With the loss, the Titans fall to 6-19 overall and remain at 2-4 in the CCAC.  The Pilots improve to 23-5 on the season.

Bethel took a ten point advantage into halftime, but the Titans struggled protecting the basketball.  The Pilots forced the Titans into 21 turnovers.  Bethel played solid defense on the night and held the Titans to just 22-of-60 (37%) shooting from the field on the night.  Additionally, Bethel controlled the boards outrebounding IU South Bend 42 to 34.   

Mark Comparato led the Titans with 13 points on the night.  MC connected on 4-of-9 from the field in 37 minutes of action.  Kyle Heatherly drained 3-of-5 jumpers from behind the arc and finished the contest with 11 points.  Teammate Dylan Morris chipped in with 10 points and had a game high 4 steals.

Tyler Brown paced the Pilots with a game-high 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field.  Ryne Lightfoot scored 18 points on the evening hitting on just 4-of-12 shots, but connecting on 8-of-10 from the charity stripe.  Tony Bedford tallied 10 points to round out the scoring for Bethel.  As a team, Bethel sizzled the nets connecting on 27-of-57 shots (47%) on the night.

The Titans will return to conference action on Tuesday when they travel to the University of Loyola to take on Robert Morris University.  Tip-time is slated for 7:00 CST.
