DEARBORN, Mich. – The IU South Bend volleyball team improved its overall record to 3-2 with wins over Williams Baptist College and Spring Arbor University on the final day of action at the University of Michigan Dearborn Earlybird tournament on Saturday.
The Titans trailed just one time against Williams Baptist as they swept the Eagles with scores of 25-18, 25-9, and 25-16. IU South Bend recorded 44 kills with 14 coming from Sarah Allison (JR/Mishawaka, Indiana) and 10 from Ashley McClintock (SR/Westville, Indiana).
Jade Tindall dished out a team-best 21 assists while Janelle Rehlander (SR/LaPorte, Indiana) registered 13 digs. Allison added 10 digs to her impressive performance.
In the final contest of the tournament, the Titans defeated Spring Arbor in four sets after dropping the opening set of the match.
Allison and McClintock continued their dominating performance against the Cougars as Allison had a triple-double with 15 kills, 14 assists, and 13 digs while McClintock registered 13 kills to go along with a team-high 22 digs.
Tindall added another 26 assists in the win.
Rehlander's performance earned her a spot on the all-tournament team.
