HOMEWOOD, Ill. – The IU South Bend men's golf team turned in an impressive two days at the CCAC Cup hosted by Holy Cross College at Ravisloe Country Club. The Titans recorded an overall team score of 594, just five strokes off the lead finishing second out of seven teams.
After day one of play, the Titans sat in third place with a program-best 290. John Stack (SR/Goshen, Indiana) led the way with a one-over 71. Payton Grubbs (JR/Nappanee, Indiana) and Broc Maurer (JR/South Bend, Indiana) were right behind Stack, both carding a 72, respectively. Braydon Glaser fired a 75 while Kobe Freshwater (FR/Marion, Indiana) finished with a 77.
Glaser moved up 10 spots after day two of competition to finish tied for third place, shooting a 72 in the second round. Grubbs and Stack finished tied with Glaser for a seven-over 147 for the round.
The Titans return to the links on September 8th and 9th as they travel to Rock Hollow Golf Club to participate in the Forester Fall Classic.
