Chicago, IL - The IU South Bend men's basketball team lost to Robert Morris University 78-54 in CCAC action at the Gentile Center on the campus of Loyola University. With the defeat, the Titans drop to 6-20 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
Junior forward Ben Werner continues to produce for the Titans as he registered a double-double by pumping in a team-high 11 points and pulling down a game-high 17 boards in 29 minutes of action. Teammate Kyle Heatherly scored 9 points and had two steals in the loss.
The Eagles registered four players in double figures. Robert Jones had a game-high 22 points and snagged a team-high 12 boards in the victory. Teammate Billy Rush poured in 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting on the evening.
The Titans struggled shooting hitting on only 20-of-60 shots on the night including 1-of-10 from behind the arc. RMU shot 46.7% from the field and controlled the glass outrebounding the Titans 45-34.
IU South Bend will round out their home schedule on Saturday, February 20th when they square off against St. Xavier University. Tip-time is set for 2:00 P.M. Timmy Davis and Mark Comparato will be recognized prior to the start of the game as part of Senior Day. Come out and support the Titans.
