South Bend, IN - The men's basketball team lost 80-70 to St. Xavier University on Saturday afternoon at the Student Activities Center on the campus of IU South Bend.  The Titans fall to 6-21 overall and stand at 2-6 in the CCAC.  With the loss, the Titans now have dropped six consecutive conference games.

Ben Werner was a force in the middle for the Titans registering a double-double on the afternoon.  Werner scored a game-high 24 points and pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds in 40 minutes of action.  Terry Hill provided spark off the bench chipping in with 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field.  Demon Eubank and Kyle Heatherly each pumped in 10 points respectively in the loss.  Dylan Morris dished out five assists and had four steals to round out the box score for the Titans.

The Cougars registered four players in double figures in the victory.  Dominique Harvey recorded a double-double scoring 16 points and hauling down 11 boards.  Larry Pikes and Marco Sammy each scored 14 points.  Teammate Stan Mayfield chipped in with 10 points.

Saturday the Titans celebrated senior day and recognized student-athletes Timmy Davis and Mark Comparato.  Davis earned All-Academic Honors during his junior season for his accomplishments in the classroom.  Comparato will earn his degree in Mass Communications and is currently in 8th place for career 3-point field goals made.  Congratulations to Timmy and MC.

The Titans will be back in action on Wednesday, February 24th when they travel to the University of Saint Francis to take on the Fighting Saints.  Tip-time is scheduled for 7:00 CST.
