Katie Hacker (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central HS) scored a team-high 12 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds, but IU South Bend (19-9/5-4 CCAC) could not overcome 27 turnovers and fell 71-56 at the hands of St. Francis. Lizzie Stapke (Highland, IN/Highland HS) was the only other Titan to register in double figures, scoring ten.

From the get-go, the Saints came out firing, connecting on six first-half three pointers as they raced out to a 21-11 lead to open the game. They would eventually close the opening half with an 11 point lead, holding a 31-20 edge at the break.

Out of the half, the Saints continued their quality play, eventually opening their advantage to as many as 19, before IU South Bend began what would be their only sustained run of the contest. Slowly chipping away at the lead, the Titans were able to get the edge down to just eight at 58-50 behind a pair of Stapke lay-ins, but a turnover and subsequent score by USF pushed the lead back to ten and out of reach.

Whitney Cole (North Judson, IN/North Judson HS) added nine points for the Titans.

The Titans return to the court for just one more regular-season contest on Saturday, February 27 when they travel to Bourbonnais, IL to take on the Tigers of Olivet Nazarene. Tip-off of that contest is set for 2:00 PM (EST).
