South Bend, IN- Ben Werner continues to ink his name in the men's basketball record books for his stellar performance on the court. On Wednesday night against the University of St. Francis he pulled down six rebounds on the night surpassing Jeremy Herring (267, 2004-05) in the record book for most rebounds in a single season and career (747, 02-07) at IU South Bend.
Werner currently stands at 269 rebounds on the 2009-10 basketball campaign and 752 in his illustrious career. He is averaging 15 points and 9.6 boards a game. In conference play, Werner ranks third in scoring and first in rebounding.
Werner has built a strong resume at IU South Bend and will continue to shatter records in the men's basketball program at IU South Bend. He has been a first team All-CCAC the last two years and continues to be a force to be reckoned with when he steps foot on the court.
