South Bend, IN- The IU South Bend men's basketball team wrapped up their regular season play on Saturday afternoon at Olivet Nazarene University.  The Tigers defeated the Titans 71-56 handing IU South Bend their eighth consecutive conference loss.  The Titans currently stand at 6-23 overall and finished conference play at 2-8.  ONU finished the regular season at 19-9 and 8-2 in the CCAC. 

Coming off a record-breaking week, Ben Werner turned in another solid performance for the Titans.  The junior forward registered his thirteenth double-double on the season.   He scored a team-high 15 points, pulled down 12 boards, and dished out three assists in the loss. 

On Wednesday, Werner pulled down six rebounds and broke the single season and career rebounding record once held by Jeremy Herring (2002-07).  At this time, Werner has a total of 764 career rebounds and will continue to ink his name in the basketball record book.

Teammates Mark Comparato and Kyle Heatherly shot well from behind the arc.  The two combined for 6-of-13 shooting from 3-point land.  Comparato netted 14 points and Heatherly finished the contest dropping in ten points.  Teammate Josh Stoops had a nice afternoon chipping in with 9 points and pulling down 7 boards.

The Tigers were led by freshman Jordan Harks who scorched the Titans for 21 points and ripped down 13 rebounds in the victory.  Teammate Tyler Wallengang poured in 13 points for ONU.
ONU controlled the boards outrebounding the Titans 45-32.  The Tigers connected on 29-of-68 shots for 42.6% while the Titans hit on just 20-of-55 for 36.4%.

IU South Bend will travel to the University of St. Francis on March 2nd to kick-off CCAC tourney action. Tip-time is set for 7:00 CST.
