South Bend, IN- Henry Smith, a 6'5" guard/forward from Saint Joseph's College, is transferring to IU South Bend to continue his academic and athletic career for the 2010-2011 season. He will play for first year head coach Chad Tapp.
This year at Saint Joseph's College, Smith played in 16 games for the Pumas. The Pumas finished the 2009-10 campaign with an overall record of 20-12.
During his senior year at Avondale High School (Auburn Hills, MI), Smith averaged 20 points and pulled down 7 rebounds a contest. He was named a Michigan All-Star and earned 1st team All-Conference accolades. Additionally, he earned the team's Scholar-Athlete Award.
As a junior at Avondale H.S., Smith was voted the Yellow Jackets' Most Valuable Player and received the program's Scholar-Athlete Award.
Henry Smith will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Titans.
