
South Bend, IN- IU South Bend head men's basketball coach Chad Tapp announced on Wednesday that point guard Alanzo Bass is transferring to Indiana University South Bend after having spent last season at Lake Land College (Mattoon, IL).
While at Lake Land, the Indianapolis Lawrence North native finished fifth in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference in assists per game at 3.3, third in total assists at 96, fourth in steals per game at 2.5 and second in total steals at 65. The Lakers finished the 2009-10 season at 17-14 overall which includes going 8-8 in the GRAC.
During the 2009-10 basketball season, Bass pumped in six points per contest for the Lakers. He has great court vision and will be a key contributor in the backcourt for the Titans this upcoming season.
The Titans finished the 2009-10 campaign 8-23 overall while going 2-8 in the CCAC. IU South Bend will tip-off the 2010-11 season on October 30th as they travel to Bethel College to take on the Pilots.
