Titans Sluggish In Second Half, Fall To Trolls

South Bend, IN- Trinity Christian College went on a 21-3 run to start the second half and defeated IU South Bend on Saturday afternoon 68-46. With the loss, the Titans fall to 4-8 on the season while Trinity Christian improves to 8-7 on the season.
The Titans fell behind early 10-1 in the contest and fought their way back to take a nine point lead into the break thanks to sophomore guard Kyle Heatherly. He scored 11 points in the first half and the Titans led 32-23 going into halftime and the momentum was on their side.
TCC came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders. The Trolls wasted no time erasing the nine point deficit and jumped out to a 44-35 lead with 14 minutes to go in the contest. TCC shot 7-of-10 from behind the arc in the second half and ended the game connecting on 26-of-51 shots (51%). The Trolls held the Titans to just 14 points in the final 20 minutes of action.
Kyle Heatherly led the Titans with a game-high 16 points in the defeat. Steven Heatherly chipped in with 12 points and teammate Alanzo Bass dished out four assists and had a game-high six steals.
TCC registered five players in double figures. Jamie King and Mike Taylor each poured in 14 points in the victory.
IU South Bend will be back in action on December 22nd when they host Davenport University. The Panthers are currently ranked #19 in NAIA Division II rankings.
