Head Coach Steve Bruce and the Women's Basketball team welcome Emily Strilich in 2010.
Women's Basketball - Mon, Oct 19, 2009
IU South Bend head coach Steve Bruce announced today that Emily Strilich has signed her letter of intent to become a member of the Titans, beginning in 2010.

"Today is an exciting day for the IU South Bend women's basketball family," Bruce said. "We gained strength both academically and athletically when Emily chose to come on board. The goal of our program is to blend outstanding academics with outstanding basketball, and in order for that to happen, we need great people in the program. People who are strong in character, talented, and industrious in their work ethic. Emily, so well represents that 'trio of success'."

Strilich, a 6'1" forward from Valparaiso, IN, is a four-year starter at Boone Grove High School. In addition, she has been named to the Indiana Top 100 for both her junior and senior seasons, twice named to the All-Porter County Conference squad - including earning Player of the Year honors during her junior season. Strilich was also named to both the Post-Tribune and Times All-Area teams her junior season and was an All-State Honorable Mention selection as well.

Strilich joins Kankakee Valley's Brandee Hudspeth and Griffith's Lauren Hansen in the 2010 recruiting class.
