(South Bend, IN)  A big thank you to all Titan Fans who came out to support the Men's and Women's basketball teams during Titan Madness on Tuesday night at the Student Activities Center.  A great time was had by all as the excitment builds for the start of the 2009-10 basketball season.
 
Congratulations to senior Whitney Cole and junior Dan Kunde.  Cole burned the nets during the 3-point contest as she connected on 11-of-15 long range jumpers.  In the championship round, Cole defeated senior sharp-shooter Timmy Davis.  Davis shot well from the outside draining 9-of-15 3-point field goals.
 
Junior Dan Kunde dazzled the crowd with some spectacular dunks and walked away with bragging rigths as Slam Dunk Champion.  Dunkin' Dan defeated Jammin' Josh Stoops in the finals.  Kunde's creativity paid off in the long run!
 
The men's basketball team will tip-off the 2009-10 campaign on Friday, October 30th.  The Titans will travel to Purdue North Central to take on the Panthers.  The game will be played at the LaPorte Civic Center and will start at 8:00 pm EST.
 
The women's basketball team will open their season on November 3rd as they host Wilberforce University at the Student Activities Center tipping-off at 6:00 pm.  Good luck to both teams and let's make this a memorable season.  GO TITANS!
