
Junior forwards Courtney Simpson (Nappanee, IN) Leah Meyer (Goshen, IN) and Elyse Lefebvre (Pinckney, MI) have been named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes announced on Tuesday by the NAIA. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Simpson currently has a 3.87 GPA and is majoring in dental hygiene. In addition to her work in the classroom, she averaged 7.8 points and 4.9 rebounds during her junior campaign on the hardwood, while starting 29 of the Titans' 30 games.
Meyer, currently has a 3.71 GPA and is majoring in Biological Sciences. She finished the 2011-12 season averaging 4.6 points and 3.6 rebounds a contest.
Lefebvre, is seeking a degree in Psychology and currently holds a 3.92 GPA. She appeared in all 32 contests for the Titans this season and registered career highs in points (5) and rebounds (8) this season.
