(South Bend, IN) The 2009-10 season is ready to tip-off and the annual CCAC Coaches and Officials meeting took place on Sunday at St. Francis University, Joliet, IL. The IU South Bend men's basketball team has been predicted to finish fourth in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletics Conference pre-season rankings. Defending CCAC champions Robert Morris University received all first place votes and is predicted to win the conference.
The Titans finished 13-18 overall last year and 7-3 in the CCAC conference which earned the team second place honors. This finish was the highest in school history and the Titans look to build from the conference success during last year's campaign.
Head Coach Denny Parks enters his third year as Head Coach of the men's basketball program. Parks is 30-33 overall in the previous two seasons.
The Titans will travel to Purdue North Central on October 30th for the season opener. Tip-off is set for 8:00 pm (EST) and the contest will be played at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium in LaPorte, Indiana.
