(LaPorte, IN) The IU South Bend men's basketball team opened the 2009-10 campaign on the road and suffered a tough loss.  The Titans lost to Purdue North Central 79-75 on Friday night at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium.  The Titans fell behind early and played catch-up all night to PNC.  IU South Bend power forward Ben Werner had a solid performance for the Titans.

The women's basketball team will be in action at home on November 3rd against Wilberforce University.  Tip time is scheduled for 6:00 pm.  Following the women's contest, the men's basketball team will host Goshen College.  Come out to the SAC for some exciting basketball and follow your Titans at www.iusbtitans.com.
