The IU South Bend men's team lost on the road to No. 5 cardinal Stritch University 65-48 on Saturdsy afternoon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The loss drops the Titans to 16-9 overall and 13-6 in the CCAC. CSU sits at 22-3 overall and leads the CCAC at 18-1
Heading into Saturdays contest the Titan knew they were going to have to play an almost perfect game taking on the Wolves of Cardinal Stritch. Early on in the contest theTitans controlled the tempo of the game and only trailed by thee points going into the break.
The second half was a different story and the Titans had no answer for the strong play inside displayed by the Wolves. Big man Darren Moors pumped in a game-high 21 points on 9-of-12 shots. He also pulled down a game-high nine boards in the victory.
Steven Heatherly led IU South Bend with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field. Teammate Austin Fox chipped in with nine points before fouling out of the contest. IU South Bend shot 2-of-16 from beyond the arc while committing 18 turnovers in the game.
TheTitans return to the court on February 2nd when they host Cal College of St. Joseph at the Student Activities Center. Tip-time is slated for 2:00 PM EST.
