The IU South Bend men's basketball team got themselves a great new addition to their 2013 recruting class as head coach Chad Tapp announced that Spencer Allman has signed on to join the Titans next season. The 6-3 sophomore will have three years of eligibilty. Allman prepped at Brownstown High School, where he starred, averaging 19.9 points per game as a senior. He is currently #11 on the school's all-time scoring list. In 2009 Allman helped lead Brownstown to a state runner-up finish. In his three years as a varsity starter his team won 85.9% of their games, with a 20-7 record his sophomore year, 25-1 as a junior, and 22-3 as a senior.
After high school Allman signed and played with IU Southeast. In his one year of play there he shot 40% from long-range while dishing out 62 assists versus only 30 turnovers. The team went 26-8 and made it to the Sweet 16 of the NAIA tournament. "Spencer can play both guard spots for us," said Coach Tapp. "He is an excellent shooter with great range and a high basketball IQ. We're excited to have Spencer as a part of our program."
Allman will join the Titans starting next season and figures to play a large role moving forward. The entire athletic department at IU South Bend would like to welcome Spencer and his family to the Titans team!
