(South Bend, IN) The IU South Bend men's basketball team fell to #3 Bethel College 69-63 on Tuesday night at the Student Activities Center on the campus of Indiana University South Bend. The Titans took a ten point lead into the locker room at halftime but couldn't hold onto the lead. The Titans drop to 1-3 on the season and Bethel improves to 1-0.
Quinn Brooks paced the Titans for the third consecutive game scoring 17 points on 5-11 shooting from the field. Ben Werner and Mark Comparato each scored 11 points respectively for the Titans. Werner led IU South Bend with 7 rebounds and has jumped into eight place on the all-time rebounding list as a member of the Titans program.
Bethel registered four players in double figures. Tony Benford led the Pilots with 17 points and Wes Laidig chipped in with 12 points for the Pilots. Ryne Lightfoot registered seven assists on the night for Bethel.
The Titans will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they play host to University of Northwestern Ohio. Tip-off is set for 2:00 EST. Saturday is also Team Photo and Autograph Day for the men's basketball team.
