Men's Basketball - Sat, Nov 14, 2009
The IU South Bend men's basketball team lost to University of Northwestern Ohio on Saturday afternoon at the Student Activities Center on the campus of IU South Bend 78-59.  With the loss, the Titans drop to 1-4 on the 2009-10 season.
 
Leading the way for the Titans was junior forward Ben Werner who finished the day with 14 points and six rebounds.  Quinn Brooks chipped in with nine points and Demon Eubanks scored eight points for the Titans.
 

The Titans hung tough the first half as the both teams battled back and forth.  However, as the game clock expired just before half, UNOH nailed a three-pointer at the buzzer and the momentum shifted as the Racers took an eight point lead into the locker room.

University of Northwestern Ohio had four players record double figure points.  Josh Vorst and Kyle Gillette each scored 17 points for the Racers.  Isaac Bowers pitched in with 11 points and Ryan Drake poured in 10 points.

The Titans will be back in action on Wednesday night at home as they face McKendree University with a start time of 7:00 pm EST. 

Milestone Fast Approaching: Junior power forward Ben Werner is just 13 points shy of reaching 1,000 points as a member of the IU South Bend men's basketball team.
