South Bend, IN – Despite shooting 40% from the field, the Titans fell to Andrews University by a score of 75-66 on Thursday night. The Titans committed 18 turnovers which resulted in 24 points for the Cardinals.
IU South Bend got into an early hole and could not seem to recover as they trailed by as many as 13 points in the opening 20 minutes of action. Near the end of the half, the Titans would make a run and cut the Cardinal lead to three points, but Andrews would convert a basket at the end of the half to take a five point lead into the half.
Just over three minutes into the second half, the Titans knotted the game when Riley Stichter (Milford, IN) scored a layup to even the game at 41.
Andrews answered with a 9-2 run to open up a seven point advantage and the Titans would never bounce back as Andrews would knock down free throws down the stretch to seal the nine point win.
Jason Jordan (South Bend, IN) paced the Titans offense with 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Stichter chipped in with 16 points on the night, while leading the Titans with eight rebounds.
Matthew Little of Andrews led all scorers with 27 points, while Tyler Woolridge recorded 18.
