(Whiting, IN)  The IU South Bend women's basketball team improved to 6-1 overall on the season as they defeated Calumet College of St. Joseph on Thursday night 76-64.  The Titans were led by junior Katie Hacker who turned in a solid performance scoring a team-high 21 points on 9 of 13 shooting from the field and pulling down 8 rebounds on the night. 
 
Junior Betsy Grogan chipped in with 18 points on the night and was perfect from the charity stripe going 8 of 8 for the Titans.  Teammate Tiffanie Graham scored 16 points and had four steals while Ashley Hummer contriubted on the defensive end with four steals as well.
 
The Titans will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Concordia University (MI).  Tip-time is slated for 1:00 pm.
