Katie Hacker (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central HS) scored a season-high 27 points, while Ashley Hummer (South Bend, IN/Mishawaka Marian HS [Goshen College]) added 12 points and eight rebounds as the TItans improved to 7-1 on the season - and 3-1 away from the Student Activities Center - with a 70-59 win over Concordia (MI).

IU South Bend jumped out to an early lead, stretching the advantage near double figures on several occasions, but throughout the first half the Cardinals would continue to fight back, with the Titans holding just a five-point edge, 37-32, at the halftime break.

The early stages of the second half saw both teams struggle, as the Titans would score just five points over the first seven minutes of the period. The Cardinals, however, were unable to take advantage of the slow offense as they could only close to a two point margin.

Late in the contest, triples from Hummer and Becca Hoefler (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso HS) would keep yet another Concordia spurt at bay, and the Titans held on for the win.

IU South Bend continues their seven-game road trip with a journey to Hammond, IN to take on Purdue-Calumet on Tuesday, November 24. Tip off for that contest will take place at 6:00 PM EST.
