Women's Basketball - Wed, Dec 2, 2009
(Palos Heights, IL)  The IU South Bend women's basketball team improved to 8-2 on the season after defeating Trinity Christian College by the score of 85-50 on Wednesday night in Palos Heights, IL.  The Titans took control of the contest right from the start and registered four players in double figures.  They shot 54.7% from the field while connecting on 9 of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Titans controlled the boards and outrebounded the Trolls 39-24.
 

IU South Bend built a 51 point lead in the second-half sparked by sharp-shooting from Katie Hacker and Kayla George.  Hacker scored a team-high 16 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the field and led the team in rebounds hauling down 7 on the night.  Teammate Kayla George torched the nets connecting on 3 of 4 from 3-point land and tallied 13 points.  Ashley Hummer played a solid game for the Titans finishing with 11 points and dishing out 3 assists.  Becca Hoefler scored 10 points and pulled down 6 boards for IU South Bend.

Jennifer Brink led the way for the Trolls scoring 16 points and teammate Allison Stoub scored 10 points in the loss for TCC.  The Trolls fall to 1-7 on the season.

The Titans will be back in action on December 5th as they travel to Indiana Institute of Technology.  Tip-time is slated for 1:00 p.m. EST.
