(Daytona Beach, FL)  The IU South Bend men's basketball team lost to Webber International University 83-64 in the Bahama House Classic hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.  With the loss the Titans fall to 4-13 on the season and remain 1-0 in conference play while Webber International University improves to 5-4 on their season.

The Titans put themselves in a tough position from the start of the game falling behind early 15-2 in the first seven minutes of the contest.  Ben Werner led the Titans in scoring with 16 points and pulled down a team-high six rebounds in 27 minutes of action.  Teammate Mark Comparato chipped in with 13 points connecting on 4 of 10 shots from behind the arc including his second 4-point play on the Florida road trip.  Quinn Brooks scored 7 points and dished out a team-high 5 assists in the losing effort for the Titans.

The Warriors took a 38-29 lead into halftime and stayed in control of the contest in the second half.  IU South Bend struggled shooting from the field connecting on just 22 of 79 (27.8) shots while the Warriors were clicking on all cylinders from the field hitting on 37 of 59 field goals for 62.7%.  WIU had the rebounding edge over the Titans 45-39.

Halston Schaffer led the Warriors and registered a double-double with a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds and gave the Titans problems all night in the paint.  Teammates Mark Marlar and Tyler Hoevenaar scored 14 and 13 points respectively for WIU. 

The Titans will wrap up their four game road trip on Saturday night as they square off against host Embry Riddle with a start time of 7:00 p.m. EST.
