Katie Hacker (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central HS) scored 14 points to lead all scorers, while Courtney Simpson (Nappanee, IN/NorthWood HS) added 11 and Leah Meyer (Goshen, IN/Northridge HS) chipped in with a career-high ten as the TItans used a strong defensive effort to grab their 12th win, defeating UM-Dearborn 71-40.

From the start, it was a low-scoring contest, with IU South Bend scoring the first six points of the contest - although it took nearly four minutes to reach that point. After the Wolves scored the next three tallies to make the score 6-3, the Titans rattled off the next twenty points over an eight minute span to take a 23-3 advantage with just under six minutes remaining in the opening half.

The two teams traded volleys for the final few minutes of the half, and the Titans took a 35-14 edge into the locker room.

Out of the break, the Titans continued to pull away, stretching their advantage to as many as 33, and they went on to the 71-40 win.

Hacker also pulled down seven rebounds for the Titans, while Lizzie Stapke (Highland, IN/Highland HS) added six more. Becca Hoefler (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso HS) and Kayla George (Peru, IN/Maconaquah HS) each handed out five assists.

Katie Roberts led UM-Dearborn, as she was their only player in double figures with 11 points.

The Titans continue their two-game road trip on Tuesday, when they travel to Georgetown, KY to take on Georgetown College. Tip off of that game is slated for 4:00 PM.

Milestone Watch: With her 14 points in the contest, junior Katie Hacker stands at 939 for her career - needing just 61 more to join the 1000 points club as a member of the Titans.
