(Notre Dame, IN)  The IU South Bend men's basketball team defeated the Saints 77-61 on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Holy Cross College.  The Titans improve to 5-14 overall on the season and 2-0 in Chicagoland Conference action.  HCC drops to 2-16 overall on the season and 0-4 in the CCAC. 

Dylan Morris had a special afternoon for the Titans.  In front of 35 family members and friends, Morris was on fire from the outside.  He was perfect from the field connecting on seven shots and finished the afternoon with a team-high 17 points.  Morris was 3-of-3 from behind the arc, dished out three assists and had three steals to lead IU South Bend.  Ben Werner turned in a stellar performance as well for the Titans as he scored 10 points and pulled down 15 rebounds.  He was also in a giving mood and handed out a team high five assists.  Quinn Brooks came off the bench and contributed for the Titans pouring in 12 points in 21 minutes of action.  Point guard Mark Comparato continues to burn the nets from 3-point land and registered 10 points causing problems for the Saints defense.

The Titans shot 30-67 (44.8%) from the field and scorched the nets from behind the arc hitting on 8-of-17 shots (52.9%).  IU South Bend held the Saints to 24-of-62 (38.7) shooting from the field.  The Titans only tuned the ball over eight times on the afternoon while forcing HCC into 13 mistakes. 

JT Breveard had his second solid contest against the Titans as he poured in a game-high 24 points for the Saints and registered four assists on the afternoon.  Teammate Taylor Willams scored 11 points on just four-of-16 shooting and tallied 11 rebounds for HCC.

The Titans will have some time off and return to the court on January 16th as they host Robert Morris University.
