MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Riley Stichter had a career night on Saturday leading the Indiana University South Bend men's basketball squad past Cardinal Stritch University 85-66. Stichter poured in a game-high 27 points while grabbing a game-high 10 boards while playing all 40 minutes in the win.
It was the Wolves who struck first jumping out to a quick 5-0 lead but it didn't take the Titans long to get on the board as Mark White and Stichter both drained triples to give the Titans an early 6-5 edge.
At the 8:41 mark Joe Bannister stole the ball and went the distance for the lay-up to give IU South Bend a seven point lead. Later in the half, Stichter grabbed an offensive board and put it back in for the lay-up and the foul to put the Titans in front by eight, their largest lead of the half.
Stichter gave IU South Bend its first 10-point lead five minutes into the second frame off the assist from Taylor Brooks. From there it was all IU South Bend.
In the final minutes White cashed in on three straight opportunities from the free throw line to give the Titans their largest lead of the game at 23 points. .
The win moves the Titans to 13-7 overall and 6-5 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.
The schedule doesn't let up as the Titans travel to No. 3 University of Saint Francis on Wednesday for an 8:00 p.m. ET tipoff.
