South Bend, IN - The IU South Bend men's basketball team lost to Robert Morris 73-50 in conference action Saturday afternoon at the Student Activities Center on the campus of IU South Bend.  The Titans fall to 5-15 on the season and 2-1 in the CCAC.  Robert Morris University improves to 10-8 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

The Titans battled the Eagles tough in the first half, but after the intermission, it was a different story.  Trailing by just seven point (39-32) at the start of the second half, the Titans struggled shooting the ball from the outside only scoring 18 points in the final 20 minutes of play. 

Quinn Brooks and Kyle Heatherly both scored 10 points apiece for IU South Bend and teammate Ben Werner tallied 7 points and pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds on the afternoon. Josh Stoops made the most of his playing time netting 8 points on 4-of-8 shooting for IU South Bend.   IU South Bend shot just 6-of-31 (19.4%) in the second half and 20-of-59 (33.9%) overall for the game. 

On defense, the Titans had no answer for Billy Rush.  He connected on his first four shots from behind the arc in the first couple minutes of the game and drained 7-of-11 shots overall on the afternoon.  Rush registered a double-double as he poured in 21 points in the victory and pulled down 14 boards for the Eagles.  Robert Jones also recorded a double-double as he scored 21 points as well hitting on 8-of-14 shots and hauling down 11 boards.

The Titans will be back in action on Tuesday, January 19th as they travel to UM Dearborn to take on the Wolves.  Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm.
