Gary Demski
A South Bend native, Gary Demski enters his second year as Executive Director of Athletics and Activities Director at Indiana University South Bend.  In addition, Demski will serve as the Sports Information Director for the athletics program.

He brings over eight years of athletic administration experience to the Titans program.  Demski is no stranger to IU South Bend as he first gained athletic experience serving as statistician for the men's and women's basketball team during the 2002-03 season and interim Assistant Director of the Student Activities Center.

Prior to his appointment at IU South Bend, Demski served as Director of Athletics at South Bend Clay High School.

From 2003-08, Demski served as Director of Student Activities at Purdue University North Central.  He played an integral role in the athletic department at PNC, expanding sports and raising scholarship funds for student-athletes. In 2006 as a member of the PNC baseball staff, the Panthers set the single season wins mark at 32-20.  For his hard work and dedication, Demski was recognized as Student Service "Employee of the Year" in 2007.

Most recently Demski was named a recipient of the Michiana 40 Under Forty group which recognizes persons who demonstrate leadership, initiative and dedication in pursuing their careers and who invest themselves in others through their involvement in civic, charitable and/or religious organizations.

"The goal of the athletic department will be to win championships, but more importantly develop champions.  Indiana University has a great deal of momentum going in a number of areas and I am excited to be a part of such a special place.  I have worked very hard in my professional career to get this position and I am ready for the challenge," Demski said.

A graduate of South Bend Washington High School, Demski received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University Bloomington and earned his master's degree in Sports Administration with high honors from Valparaiso University.

Demski's direction has enabled IU South Bend athletics to make significant steps to become a recognizable NAIA institution.

Demski resides in South Bend with his wife, Kelly.
