Amy Henkelman
Amy Henkelman was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics and Activities at Indiana University South Bend on July 1, 2009.  During the 2008-09 school year, Henkelman served as Interim Director of Athletics and Recreation.  She has been with the University since 2004 as Assistant Director of Recreation.  
 
Henkleman oversees facility operations of the Fitness Center, Weight Training Center, Group Fitness Room and coordinates Group Fitness classes.  In addition, she supervises the Athletics and Student Activities Center employee groups which include; Group Fitness Leaders, Fitness Attendants, Front Desk Attendants and Game Management Staff.   
 
As for athletic duties, Henkelman is responsible for compliance and oversees the student-athlete mentor and honorary coach programs.  Additionally, Henkelman coordiantes the "Welcome Back" Student-Athlete Orienation at the start of each school year.  
   
Henkelman earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and a Master of Arts degree in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University.  In 2008-09, Henkelman was named Staff/Administrator of the Year by the Student Government Association.
