Sam's passion for Student Life and programming has lead him to working with clubs, organizations, non-profit agencies, fraternities and sororities across the country. Sam received his Bachelor of Arts in Student Planned Curriculum in Engineering, Communications and Fine Art at Western Michigan University. He was a charter member of his fraternity and involved in Student Life, Student Government and the Fraternity Council. After graduation he worked at Grand Valley State University in the Student Life Office while getting his Master of Education degree in College Student Affairs Leadership.
As a member of the Association of Fraternity Advisors he spends time by traveling and speaking at many the regional leadership conferences. Sam presents on many topics including hazing, risk management, diversity, eating disorders, recruitment, and membership accountability. Sam has served on the National Board of Directors for Gamma Sigma Alpha in Los Angeles, Hazing Prevention Organization in Colorado, the Western Region Greek Association in San Francisco, and is currently the national President of his fraternity, Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. in Iowa City.
Since February 2008 Sam has served as the Director of Student Life at Indiana University South Bend. He works most closely with Student Government, Titan Productions, Project LEAD, student campus publications and Athletics and Activities. He sits on many university committees and enjoys working with all the faculty, staff and students at this great campus. Go Titans!
