Rob Simels
 
Rob Simels was named Coordinator of Intramurals and Club Sports on September 2nd, 2009 at Indiana University South Bend.  Simels earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Master's of Education in Sports management and Recreation from Springfield College.
 
During his time as a undegraduate student, Simels served as an official  for the campus recreation program for a year and was a Intramural Supervisor for two years.  In addition, Simels served as the president and treasurer of the Club Golf Team. 
 
After completing his undergraduate degree, Simles worked as a Intramural Sports intern for one year at UNC.  He programmed many of the sports and worked with the officials to improve their overall officiating skills.  
 
Simels moved to Massachusetts to start his graduate work at Springfield College, the Birthplace of Basketball.  While at Springfield, Simels was served as a Graduate Associate for the Intramural Sports and oversaw the Indoor Climbing wall.  Additionally, he also worked a semester as the Interim Assistant Director of Campus Recreation before he received his Master's of Education in Sport Management and Recreation.
 
Simels has been an active member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) since 2005.    
 
Rob Simels is from Westchester county New York and a graduate of Byram Hills High School.
